WEEKEND BRIEFS: May 14-16, 2021

IMPAIRED DRIVER

On Friday, May 14, 2021 at approximately 4:00 p.m. the Woodstock Police Service responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls for a suspected impaired driver that resulted in a collision with a building in the area of Dundas Street and Wilson Street.

Upon arrival, police found the driver to be in possession of suspected fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Woodstock male was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Drugs & Alcohol
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (Other Than Heroin)

 

BREAK & ENTER THEFT

Police are looking for information about a break and enter theft that look place Saturday.

On Saturday, May 15, 2021 sometime between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. unknown suspects allegedly forced entry into a secured property in the area of Hunter Street that is under construction.  A number of tools were reported as stolen as a result of the entry.

THEFT OF PADDLE BOARD

The Woodstock Police Service is looking for information or witnesses in relation to a theft of a paddle board.

On Saturday, May 15, 2021 at approximately 1:00 p.m. a paddle board was allegedly stolen from the bed of a pickup truck in the parking lot of 969 Dundas Street. The board was inside a plain box with MAX KARE on the side. The contents of the box were described as a blue and white paddle board, a carrying bag, fin, paddle and foot petal.

STOLEN VEHICLE

The Woodstock Police Service is looking for information or witnesses to a vehicle that was reported as stolen.

Sometime between Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 3:50 p.m. a white Ford F150 with a missing passenger side running board was allegedly stolen from the rear of a business parking lot on Henry Street near Dover Street.
