Dangerous Operation Charge Laid Following Road Rage Incident

Woodstock, ON
– On January 31, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Woodstock Police Service became aware of a road rage incident involving two drivers. The involved drivers were known to each other. One driver intentionally struck the other vehicle in the area of Highway 59 and Oxford Road 17, causing damage. No physical injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old male of Cambridge has been charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

The accused was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.

Stunt Driving Charge Laid Following Traffic Enforcement

Woodstock, ON
– On February 1, 2026, a Woodstock Police Service officer observed a vehicle travelling in excess of 100 km/h in a 60 km/h zone in the area of Highway 2 and 11th Line. Due to the excessive speed, the driver, a 21-year-old male of Hamilton, was charged with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt

Under Ontario’s stunt driving legislation, the driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

Charge Laid Following Traffic Stop in Woodstock

Woodstock, ON – On February 2, 2026, Woodstock Police Service officers observed a vehicle travelling in the wrong lane of travel in the area of Industrial Avenue. Police stopped the vehicle and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle while her driver’s licence was suspended.

As a result, a 37-year-old female of Woodstock has been charged with:

  • Driving While Under Suspension

The vehicle was impounded for seven days in accordance with provincial legislation.

Charges Laid Following Fail-to-Remain Collision

Woodstock, ON – On February 3, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Woodstock Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Peel Street and Wilson Street.

One of the involved drivers left the scene without providing his name or required information. Police located the involved vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation determined that the driver’s licence was suspended and that he had failed to remain at the scene of the collision.

As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old male of Woodstock has been charged with:

  • Fail to Remain
  • Driving While Under Suspension
