Woodstock, ON – On Saturday, July 11, 2026, at approximately 2:45 a.m., members of the Woodstock Police Service, Woodstock Fire Department and Oxford County Paramedic Services responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in the area of Waterloo Street.

Police located a damaged vehicle after it had struck a street sign and collided with a tree.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 54-year-old Woodstock man with:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus

The accused is scheduled to appear before the court at a future date.

On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., members of the Woodstock Police Service were conducting traffic enforcement on Oxford Road 17. Police observed a vehicle speeding and conducted a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop, the driver failed a roadside alcohol screening device test.

As a result of the investigation, a 73-year-old Woodstock woman has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus

The accused is scheduled to appear before the court at a future date.

The vehicles were impounded in both cases.

The Woodstock Police Service reminds motorists that impaired driving can have devastating consequences. Anyone who consumes alcohol, cannabis or any substance that may affect their ability to drive should plan ahead and arrange a safe ride home.

Anyone who observes a suspected impaired driver should call 9-1-1 immediately and provide the vehicle description, licence plate, location and direction of travel, where possible.
