The Court Services Unit is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and efficient operation of the court system in the City of Woodstock.
The unit is comprised of a civilian supervisor, a Court Clerk, and a team of Special Constables who perform a wide range of duties that support both the judicial process and frontline policing operations.
Members of the Court Services Unit are responsible for:
- Providing security at the two court facilities operating in Woodstock
- Transporting prisoners to and from correctional institutions, police stations, and courts
- Issuing summonses and serving court documents
- Processing charges and preparing court documents for cases investigated by the Woodstock Police Service
Through professionalism and attention to detail, the Court Services Unit ensures that the judicial process operates safely and efficiently while upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
