The Woodstock Police Service Special Victims Unit works collaboratively with a number of community partners to provide service and support to victims of human trafficking, sex related crimes, intimate partner violence, and elder abuse.

Victim Assistance Services of Oxford County (VASoc)
Victim Assistance Services of Oxford County (VASoc) is a non-profit, community-based charitable organization that works in partnership with police to provide short-term emotional and practical assistance to victims of crime, tragic circumstances, and disaster.
VASoc offers 24/7 crisis response and support—365 days a year—through trained staff and volunteer crisis responders. Assistance can be provided in person at a safe location or over the phone, depending on the individual’s needs.
Traumatic experiences such as accidents, assaults, robberies, or sudden losses can affect everyone differently. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to respond. VASoc is here to help victims and their families navigate those first difficult hours and connect them with the right community supports.

- Homicide and sudden death
- Elder abuse
- Criminal harassment and hate crime
- Fraud and theft
- Fire or property crime
- Motor vehicle collisions
