Woodstock, ON – On January 8, 2026, at approximately 8:40 a.m., employees at a business on Dundas Street discovered two individuals inside a vehicle belonging to the business.
The individuals were asked to leave the vehicle. During this interaction, one male became aggressive and swung a knife toward one of the employees. After a short altercation, the male fled the area.
Shortly after, police located and arrested the male on a warrant and found a quantity of suspected fentanyl in his possession. As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old male of Woodstock has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts)
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
