Woodstock Police Charge Driver Following Fail to Remain and Impaired Driving Investigation

Woodstock, ON – On March 31, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Woodstock Police Service responded to a report of a fail to remain collision at a business located on Norwich Avenue.
A complainant reported that their vehicle was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot that left the area.
Through investigation, officers identified the suspect vehicle and driver and located both at a residence in Woodstock.

As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old male of Woodstock has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – 80 plus
  • Failure to stop after accident

The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court later.

Driver Charged with Stunt Driving in Woodstock Parking Lot

Woodstock, ON – On April 4, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers were conducting patrols in the area of Norwich Avenue when an officer observed a vehicle spinning its tires and circling a parking lot without control.

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old male of Paris has been charged with:

  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
The defendant is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court at a later date.

Driver Facing Multiple Charges Following Traffic Stop and Investigation

Woodstock, ON – On April 5, 2026, at approximately 2 a.m., an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Ingersoll Road and Anderson Street for a traffic matter.

During the investigation, the driver provided a false identity, but the officer was able to confirm the driver’s identity and determined that the individual was currently prohibited from driving Canada-wide and was also under suspension.

The driver was arrested, and further investigation revealed the driver was also bound by a probation order.

As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old male of Brantford has been charged with:

  • Operation while prohibited
  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Driver Charged with Operating Vehicle Without Insurance

Woodstock, ON – On April 5, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a vehicle in the area of Devonshire Avenue and conducted a traffic stop to confirm insurance status.

Police determined that the vehicle was not insured, and the driver’s licence had expired.

As a result of the investigation, a 52-year-old male of Woodstock has been charged with:

  • Owner operate motor vehicle – no insurance

The defendant is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court at a later date.

Driver Charged with Driving While Under Suspension

Woodstock, ON – On April 5, 2026, at approximately 11 p.m., an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Ontario Street and Manitoba Road after identifying a vehicle with expired validation.

During the investigation, police confirmed that the driver was currently under suspension.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old female of Woodstock has been charged with:

  • Driving while under suspension

The defendant is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court at a later date.

Driver Charged with Stunt Driving After Transporting Passengers in Cargo Area

Woodstock, ON – On April 6, 2026, at approximately 3:30 a.m., an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Springbank Avenue and Devonshire Avenue after observing a U-Haul vehicle.

During the investigation, the officer observed and heard movement coming from the rear cargo area of the vehicle. Upon inspection, officers located two individuals seated in the rear of the vehicle, which was not equipped or intended for passenger transport.

As a result of the investigation, a 52-year-old male of Woodstock has been charged with:

  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt (persons in trunk/cargo area)

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
The defendant is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court at a later date.
