Woodstock, ON – The Woodstock Police Service has laid impaired driving charges against three drivers in separate incidents over a three-day period, underscoring the continued risks impaired driving poses to public safety.
On December 10, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Woodstock Police Service received a complaint regarding a vehicle being driven erratically in the area of Dundas Street and Springbank Avenue. Police located and stopped the vehicle a short time later.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old male from Woodstock has been charged with:
· Operation While Impaired
· Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
· Dangerous Operation
Testing later revealed the driver’s blood-alcohol readings were more than three times the legal limit. The accused was released with a future court date.
On December 11, 2025, at approximately 11:20 p.m., Woodstock Police Service received a complaint regarding a driver suspected to be impaired in the area of Devonshire Avenue. Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop shortly after.
As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old male from Woodstock has been charged with:
· Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
· Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
The accused was released with a future court date.
On December 12, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Woodstock Police Service observed a vehicle fail to obey traffic laws in the area of Perry Street and Main Street and conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old male from Brantford has been charged with:
· Operation While Impaired
· Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
Subsequent testing revealed blood-alcohol readings more than three times the legal limit. The accused was released with a future court date.
Impaired driving remains one of the leading causes of serious injury and death on Ontario roads. The Woodstock Police Service reminds drivers to plan ahead by arranging a sober ride, using a designated driver, or calling a taxi or rideshare service. Members of the public are encouraged to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1.
