Man Arrested Following Suspicious Fire in Multi-Unit Residence
Woodstock, ON – A Woodstock man has been arrested in connection with a suspicious fire at a multi-unit residence in Woodstock.
On December 10, 2025, emergency services responded to a residential fire at a multi-unit dwelling on Wilson Street. All occupants were evacuated safely.
On December 11, 2025, emergency services were again dispatched to the same residence following reports of smoke coming from the building. This second fire incident was deemed suspicious.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old male from Woodstock was arrested on December 12, 2025, and has been charged with:
- Break and Enter – Dwelling to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Arson – Disregard for Human Life
The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Impaired Driving Charge Laid Following Traffic Complaint
Woodstock, ON – A Mississauga man is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic complaint in Woodstock.
On December 13, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Woodstock Police Service received a report of a possible impaired driver at a gas station on Dundas Street in Woodstock. Officers attended the location and located the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, police determined the driver was impaired by alcohol. Further testing revealed the driver’s blood-alcohol concentration to be more than twice the legal limit.
A 56-year-old male from Mississauga has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
The accused was released with a future court date.

Woodstock Police Assist OPP With Arrest on Outstanding Warrants
Woodstock, ON – The Woodstock Police Service assisted the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the arrest of a male on outstanding warrants.
On December 15, 2025, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a 34-year-old male was arrested in the area of Stafford Street, Woodstock as part of a coordinated effort involving the Ontario Provincial Police, the Woodstock Police Service, and the Woodstock Probation and Parole Office.
The arrest was made in relation to multiple outstanding Criminal Code offences, including theft-related charges, possession of property obtained by crime, and multiple counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.
Members of the Woodstock Police Service Emergency Response Unit (ERU), K9 Unit, and uniform patrol officers assisted OPP during the arrest.
