The Uniform Patrol Division is the front line of the Woodstock Police Service, providing 24-hour coverage and immediate response to calls for service across the city.

The division consists of four platoons, each led by a Staff Sergeant and Patrol Sergeant, supported by Constables and a Cadet. Patrol officers maintain a visible presence in the community through vehicle, bicycle, and foot patrols, ensuring safety and security throughout all neighbourhoods.

Uniform Patrol officers respond to a wide range of calls — from routine incidents to complex emergencies involving social, civil, and criminal matters. While many calls are not directly crime-related, officers often assist individuals experiencing mental health challenges, homelessness, addiction, or poverty.

To support these community needs, patrol officers work closely with health and social service partners to connect residents with the most appropriate resources and supports.

The Uniform Patrol Division also collaborates with other specialized units within the Woodstock Police Service, assisting in targeted enforcement, investigations, and community safety initiatives.

Through professionalism, teamwork, and proactive engagement, the Uniform Patrol Division continues to uphold public trust and ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in Woodstock.
