Criminal Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit

The Drugs & Intelligence Unit (DIU) is a team of one Detective Sergeant, four Detective Constables and a Crime Analyst. This unit works to identify drug traffickers, disrupt their illegal activity and prepare cases for prosecution. They also investigate organized crime, outlaw motorcycle gangs, street gangs, hate crimes and criminal extremism.

The Crime Analyst monitors crime trends, assists with Ontario Sex Offender Registrations, High Risk Offenders and compliance of offenders on judicial release.

Hate Crime/Extremism Investigative Team (HCEIT)

Members of this unit are active members of HCEIT. HCEIT is a joint forces operation with many police services that share information and target Hate Crime and Extremism.

Criminal Intelligence Service of Ontario (CISO)

This unit is an active participant in the Criminal Intelligence Service of Ontario.

Biker Enforcement Unit (BEU)

Members of this unit liaise with the BEU and assists with investigations into outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit (PWEU)

Members of this unit will work with the PWEU as needed for weapons related investigations.
