Forensic Identification Unit

The Woodstock Police Service has one Forensic Identification Officer (FIO). The FIO handles the day to day operations of the Forensic Identification Section (FIS).

16 Scene of Crime Officers (SOCO) support the FIS. SOCO collect and photograph items requiring further examination and processing in investigations. Special Constables in the courts and cadet roles are also trained to collect DNA samples.
