Police officers in Ontario are subject to discipline under the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 (CSPA), which replaced the Police Services Act (PSA) on April 1, 2024. Disciplinary hearings are conducted in accordance with the Statutory Powers Procedure Act and are generally open to the public.
For matters that occurred before April 1, 2024, proceedings will continue under the PSA. Officers facing misconduct allegations may be subject to hearings before a Hearing Officer, ensuring transparency and accountability within the Service. Decisions issued by a Hearing Officer are posted below for public access for a period of three months.
